Treatment for Hair Loss
For many patients, alopecia, or hair loss, can be devastating. A search for any underlying medical cause is performed, including blood testing, as indicated.
Hair loss may be acute, such as telogen effluvium and alopecia areata, and self-resolve; other types such as pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) tend to be chronic. Both are generally treatable.
Treatment
Our physicians have extensive experience treating hair loss and may recommend blood testing and/or scalp biopsy, as indicated. Certain patients may benefit from monthly scalp steroid injections, a procedure that is minimally invasive and usually successful. Medical treatments include minoxidil (Rogaine), spironolactone (Aldactone), and finasteride (Propecia).

- Sulfur rich foods: meat, eggs, legumes, Brussel sprouts
- Vitamin A: carrots are a great source of vitamin A and carrot juice is delicious!
- Vitamins: We recommend the Nutrafol line.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
We are pleased to offer PRP Injections for Hair Loss. PRP is a perfect, all natural procedure for anyone looking for thicker, healthier hair.
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. Platelets are the cells that help you stop bleeding when you scrape or cut yourself, but they are also rich in many growth factors, including: platelet-derived growth factor, transforming growth factor, and vascular endothelial growth factor.
Since platelets release many important factors, they have been used to treat joint problems, and now hair loss as well. PRP has been shown to benefit patients with a variety of hair loss sub-types, including androgenic alopecia (also known as “male” or “female” pattern hair loss).
Exosomal Therapy
For Hair Loss
A safe and non-invasive treatment for hair loss. Exosomes deliver high concentrations of growth factors. When applied into the scalp, they regenerate hair follicles and stimulate growth resulting in thicker hair.
KeraFactor
For Hair Growth
KeraFactor treatments improve and support hair growth in females and males. This treatment delivers growth factors which stimulate hair follicles.
