Tips to Decrease Bruising
To help your body prepare and minimize bruising, please follow these guidelines:
1. Avoid Substances below (unless prescribed by your doctor): Stop the following at least 7 days if possible before your appointment:
- Supplements (Vitamin E, Fish Oils, Ginkgo biloba)
- Large quantities of leafy greens
- Aspirin (Advil, ibuprofen)
- Alcohol
Always check with your prescribing physician before stopping any medication.
2. Start Arnica Montana 30c Pellets Arnica is a natural supplement known to help reduce bruising and swelling.
- Take 5 pellets under the tongue, 3 times per day
- Start 2 days before your procedure and continue for 3 days after
- Available at most health food stores and pharmacies

Take ½ cup fresh pineapple or Bromelain 500 mg twice a day

Continue for 3 days after your treatment
After Your Appointment: How to Care for Treated Areas
To reduce bruising and support healing:
- Apply a cold compress for 5 minutes twice a day during the first 24 hours
- Avoid intense exercise, alcohol, and heat (e.g., saunas, hot showers) for at least 24 hours
- Be gentle with the treated area—do not rub or massage, unless advised by your provider
- In your goodie bag, you’ll find Arnica gel—apply it gently 3x day to the treated area to help with bruising and swelling. You can apply makeup if needed.
